Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant John Booker reported that “Chad C. Schipper is now in Whiteside County Jail. Schipper was released from the hospital on Sunday, February 12, 2017, around 2:30 p.m. [and] was then transported to Whiteside County Jail. Schipper will have a court appearance [Monday,] February 13, at 1:00 p.m. This will probably be a video court appearance.”
Editor’s note: Schipper made the video appearance in the Whiteside County Circuit Court. He faces charges of Home Invasion and three counts of Aggravated Kidnapping. These charges are all a Class A felony, punishable by six-to-30 years in prison.
A preliminary hearing is set for Monday, February 27.
Schipper is in custody in the Whiteside County Jail on $1 million bond.
