Morrison, IL, dentist Dr. Mindy Hochgesang purchased the late Dr. William Simpson’s dental practice on February 20, 2015. Prior to that, her practice in Davenport, IA, was named Cornerstone Family Dentistry, P. C. She was advised by a consultant to switch that name, because there was another “Cornerstone” business in Morrison, IL, so it was not a unique name.
She changed the name to Brightstar Family Dentistry. However, the dental practice has legally remained “Cornerstone Family Dentistry, Doing Business As Brightstar Family Dentistry.”
When difficulties came about in the transition of names, Dr. Mindy decided it would be best to ignore the consultant and remain with her original business name. She had chosen Cornerstone for two significant reasons.
First, she has faith in God and wants to always remember–in business and in life–what is the most important thing in her life.
Second, she hopes that Cornerstone Family Dentistry will become a hub, where Dr. Hochgesang, her brother, Dr. Craig Peterson, and their staff can humbly serve and thoughtfully enrich the lives of the community members.
