Listed are road conditions Friday morning, February 6, 2026.
1. We can see areas of wintry mix, roughly along and north of a line from Dubuque, IA, to Princeton, IL. We can see freezing drizzle-to-light freezing rain to 9:00 a.m., which can produce slick conditions on the roadways for the morning commute.
2. Accumulations will generally be around a glaze for most. Extra precaution should be used when traveling and on sidewalks in the morning. After 9:00, temperatures will increase and allow for melting of any ice.
3. A cold front passing through the area will result in windy conditions through the day. Northwest winds of 20-25 mph can be expected, with gusts upwards to 35 mph. The winds will die down Friday evening.
4. Use extra precautions when on the roadways, and be sure to secure any loose outdoor objects.
