Vicky L. Workman, 77, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling, IL.

Vicky was born July 27, 1948, in Clinton, IA, to Edward and Alida (Dykstra) Housenga.  She attended Fulton, IL, grade schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School.  On January 26, 1968, she married James “Jim” Workman in Fulton.  They shared over 45 years of marriage, until his passing on January 17, 2014.  Vicky worked at the Circuit Clerk’s Office in Morrison for many years until her retirement.  She was a member of Emmanuel Church.  Vicky and Jim were avid golfers and bowlers and enjoyed the many friendships formed through those activities.  She served on the Morrison Music Boosters and Morrison Athletic Boosters organizations, faithfully supporting local students and athletes.  Above all, Vicky’s love language was cooking; her kitchen was a place of warmth, welcome, and family gatherings.

Survivors include her daughters, Angie (Darrel) VanderVinne and Melissa (David) Sterenberg both of Morrison; four grandchildren, Faith and Camden VanderVinne and Meghan and Madeline Sterenberg; two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Jim; two grandsons, Jacob and Dawson Sterenberg; one brother.

A Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Emmanuel Church in Morrison, IL.

Her Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Luke Schouten officiating.

Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.

Memorials have been established to Emmanuel Youth Ministries and Rock River Hospice & Home.
