Timothy D. Cochran, Sr., age 67, of Morrison, IL, formerly of Rock Falls, IL, died Saturday, January 31, 2026, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.
Tim was born May 21, 1958, in Sterling, the son of James and Thelma (Dickerson) Cochran. He served in the U. S. Army and later married Karen Rippy on August 28, 1978. She preceded him in death on September 3, 2022. Tim was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.
He is survived by his sons, Timothy (Ashley) Cochran, Jr. of Rock Falls and Brandon (Maranda) Cochran of Morrison; daughter, Samantha Cochran of Sterling; sisters, Rosa “Pinky” (Tom McBroom) Barb of Sterling, Cheryl Johnson of Rock Falls, and Kathy Cochran of Rock Falls; brother, John (Deb) Cochran of Thomson, IL; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three brothers, Terry, Anthony, and James Cochran.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
A Memorial Service with military honors will follow at 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Les Funderberg of First Open Bible Church in Rock Falls officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
