SavannaHistSocietySmallThe Savanna Historical Society will host a musical program on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 4:00 p.m., at the Museum, 406 Main Street, Savanna, IL.  Everyone is invited to sit back and enjoy this entertaining program.

The Terrapin Ramblers of Elizabeth, IL, will explore the roots of traditional American music.  They focus on timeless Appalachian fiddle tunes and barn dance music, such as “Liberty,” “St. Anne’s Reel,” and “Dance All Night.”  Digging deeper into the roots of American tradition, the group will perform enduring Irish music, such as “The South Wind,” “Star of County Down,” and “Morgan Megan.”

The Terrapin Ramblers have been performing together for more than 40 years and are a fixture of local musical culture.  The group is compromised of Mark Brewer, harpist; Judy Cuplin, pianist; Raymond Thraen, fiddler; Joe McNally, banjoist; Jeff DeWalt, guitarist.

A donation of $8 will be appreciated.  Proceeds go towards future programs of the Savanna Historical Society.
