Tom Wadsworth of Dixon, IL, will speak to “The Role of the Stagecoach in the Formation of Northwestern Illinois.”
His presentation identifies 11 revelations of little-known, local, historical details, that stem from his research into the pioneer years of 1828-1855. This history still impacts our lives today.
In the 1980s, Tom was the morning personality and news anchor on WSDR radio. He recently retired from a career as a writer and speaker, having addressed audiences from coast to coast. He holds two Master’s degrees and a PhD, which he recently completed at age 69. Local history is his favorite pastime; his family settled in our area in the 1840s
