SousaMusicThe Sterling Municipal Band will hold its 28th Annual Spring Concert on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., at Sterling High School’s Centennial Auditorium, 1608 Fourth Avenue, Sterling, IL.  The concert will feature Guest Conductor Colonel Arnald Gabriel, USAF (Ret.) and Guest Saxophone Soloist Master Chief Petty Officer Dale Underwood, USN (Ret.)  The concert is free and open to the public.

The program will feature selections from Sousa to Gershwin, Piazzolla, and Kozhevnikov–with Colonel Gabriel closing the evening with Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”

Prior to the concert, starting at 6:00 p.m., Candlelight Inn, Sterling, will have a pulled-pork sandwich, side, dessert, and drink available for $5 per person.

In addition, Master Chief Petty Officer Underwood will conduct a music clinic from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., in the Centennial Auditorium.  It is free and open to the public.
