Regino “Reggie” J. Marruffo, age 74, of Sterling, IL, died Monday, May 26, 2025, at his home.
Reggie was born March 7, 1951, in Sterling, the son of Benito and Jovie (DeLeon) Marruffo. He married Debra Tyler on October 31, 2008, in Sterling. Reggie was employed at GE for 40 years and enjoyed Bowling, cooking, spending time at the lake, and teasing his granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Marruffo of Sterling; stepdaughter, Emma Lea (Zak) Bittner of Maricopa, AZ; stepson, Art (Madison) Van Zuiden of Morrison; five brothers, Benito (Sherry) Marruffo of Rock Falls, IL, Mike (Sue) Marruffo of Sterling, Robert (Kathy) Marruffo of Sterling, Roderick Marruffo of Sterling, and Fred (Becky) Marruffo of Sterling; three step granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parent; sister, Patricia Ann Marruffo; brother, Timothy Ernest Marruffo.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Avenue, Sterling, IL. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Sterling, IL.
