Patrick J. Housenga, 64, of Thomson, IL, died Thursday, February 19, 2026, at MercyOne Medical Center in Clinton, IA.

Pat was born May 13, 1961, in Clinton, IA, to Bernard J. and Mary J. (Lyons) Housenga. He was educated in the Fulton, IL, grade schools and graduated from Fulton High School in 1979. On October 9, 1982, he married Diane M. Wierenga in Fulton. Pat dedicated more than 25 years to Buck’s Barn in Thomson, IL. During the last six of his 25 years at Buck’s Barn, he and Diane owned and operated the business together, working side by side and building lasting friendships within the community.
Survivors include is his wife, Diane; sons, Tyler (Karen Barsema) Housenga and Travis (Caitlin) Housenga, both of Thomson; six grandchildren, Adi, Dixie Ann, Ava, Addison, Carter and Cassidy; mother, Mary J. Housenga of Morrison, IL; sisters, Brenda (Greg) Pell of Fulton and Cathy (Harold) Kenworthy of Clinton; brother, Kenneth (Jesse) Housenga of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bernie J. Housenga; sister, Sandy Badger; sister-in-law, Jodi Lynn Housenga.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no Visitation or Service.
A private family Graveside service will take place at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Fulton, IL.
The Fulton Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
