Patricia “Pat” K. Hanson, 85, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, July 27, 2025, surrounded by her family, at home.
Pat was born February 24, 1940, in Morrison to Henry and Jennie (DeWeerdt) Tiesman. She was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and attended Fulton High School. On February 11, 1960, she married Ronald Duane Hanson at Second Reformed Church in Fulton, IL. After 61 years of marriage, he passed away on November 12, 2021. Pat worked for and retired from G.E. in Morrison. She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church and a member of the G.E.M. Club. She served as a leader of her Neighborhood Watch program. In her free time Pat loved fishing, camping, and golfing. She was a die-hard Cubs and Bears sports fan. Spoiling her family brought her much joy, and she especially loved to spend time with friends and family.
Survivors include her daughters, Kim (Todd) Zuidema and Jennifer Raser, both of Morrison; seven grandchildren, Jamie Given, Shanna (Chad Pfister) Given, Andrea Given, Colten (Ashlyn May) Zuidema, Alex (Caylee) Raser, Addison (Logan) Housenga, and Kaylynn Alfrejd; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Mae Haan of Lansing, MI, Darlene Hook of Morrison, and Cindy (Al) Krontz of Edwardsville, IL; brother, Larry (Judy) Tiesman of Albany, IL; beloved dog, Rookie; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ron; daughter, Cheryl L. Hanson; sister, Sharon Walters.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday August 1, 2025, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Her Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, IL, officiated by Ken Renkes.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
A memorial has been established by the family.
