A wintry mix of rain, snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected areawide today, Monday, January 22, through Tuesday morning.

Freezing rain accumulations will range from a glaze of ice to around a tenth-of-an-inch, with higher amounts to the south and east of the area.

Additionally, light snow accumulations of around an inch will be possible, mainly in eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois north of Interstate 80.
