Due to expected extreme cold warnings for Friday, January 23, 2026, Morrison Community School District #6 will be closed. Morrison students who also attend Whiteside Area Career Center (WACC) in Sterling, IL, will not attend.
All activities and practices are cancelled.
Non-students and those who must be outside will be advised to cover their head, face, nose, ears, and fingers. Frostbite–a skin injury–can occur in as little as ten minutes. Exposure to extreme cold temperatures can literally freeze the water in your cells.
