Editor’s note:  Jeramie House will be arraigned in Court on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at approximately 8:30 p.m., multiple 9-1-1 calls were received of a shooting at 507 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL.  A 24-year-old female, Marissa Rhodes, and an 18-year-old male, Kollin Koser, both residents at this address, were victims of the shooting.  A suspect vehicle had fled the scene.  Rhodes was transported to CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.  Kosier was first transported to the Morrison Community Hospital and then airlifted to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at approximately 1:00 a.m., 24-year-old Jeramie Michael House was taken into custody and is being held at the Whiteside County Jail, with charges pending.  This is an active investigation.

The Morrison Police Department has filed criminal complaints for review with Whiteside County State’s Attorney Terry Costello’s Office, charging Jeramie House with:

2 Counts of Attempt-First Degree Murder (Class X Felonies)
2 Counts of Aggravated Battery (Class X Felonies)
5 Counts of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm (Class 4 Felonies)
1 Count of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
