Mark Twain noted, “A great, great deal has been said about the weather, but very little has ever been done.”

Author E. B. White wrote, “Sailors have an expression about the weather: they say the weather is a great bluffer. I guess the same is true of our human society–things can look dark, then a break shows in the clouds, and all is changed.”

Chuck Klosterman posited, “I like storms. I would say I actively like stormy weather. I would not be afraid of them. I think that if I had not pursued Journalism, I think storm-chasing would’ve been a really fun career.”

Come meet an area Meteorologist this afternoon, January 28, 2024, and see what he has to say about that which we all have an opinion. Hosted by The Whiteside Forum, Andrew Stutzke’s topic is “Meteorology, Storm Chasing, Storm Preparedness, Weather Patterns, Models and Climate.” He will answer questions about the weather, his life, training, and work.

Stutzke is a Sterling, IL, native and the morning Meteorologist for WQAD TV8. He will speak in the City of Morrison Community Room at Odell Public Library in Morrison, IL. Odell Public Library is located at 307 S. Madison Street, in Morrison, IL. This presentation begins at 2:00 p.m. and is open to everyone free of charge.
