The Morrison School Board of Education convened on Monday, September 22, 2025, with all members in attendance and all building Principals present.
Following the month’s financial update and the activity reports from each school’s Principal, the announcement of the following personnel changes was offered.
Resignations: Shelby Veltrop (8th Grade Girls’ Basketball)
Hires: Landon McNeese (MHS Night Custodian); Ashley Waldorf (Northside Kindergarten Paraprofessional Aide); Rita Lawrence (Preschool Paraprofessional Aide); Shawn Swain (MHS Varsity Boys’ Basketball Coach); Kyle Schipper (MHS Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach); Kane Steger (MHS Football Assistant); Warren Williams (8th Grade Boys’ Basketball)
Volunteers: Samantha Delp (6th Grade Cheer Coach), Kayleen Church (6th Grade Cheer Coach.)
In additional action:
- The Board approved the tentative 2025-2026 budget prepared by Superintendent DeBaene, that will be offered for a final public viewing at the next School Board Meeting in October.
- The approval of owning a Therapy Dog assigned to each school was unanimously approved.
- The second reading of 37 Board of Education policy updates were approved, which immediately implements them as current policies.
The Morrison District 6 School Board meets in the District Office on the fourth Monday of each month. Meetings are open to the public.
