The Morrison, IL, City Council convened on May 11, 2026 without Mayor Scott Vandermyde in attendance. A shortened agenda included the following subjects discussed.
• American Legion parade permit approved for Monday, May 25, 2026
• Re-appointment of three-year term to Odell Public Library Board of Trustees: Jesse Wroble, Nora Wenzel, and Christine Vanderleest
• Re-appointment of a three-year term to the Historic Preservation commission: Dr. John Tomasino and Barbara Bees.
• Re-appointment of a five-year term to the Planning and Zoning Board: Jim Workman
• Approval of a variance on 105 E. Park Street
• Discussion related to the potential of processing a fee of a Utility Billing, via an electronic option that simplifies the billing system. No action was taken, with future discussion planned.
The City Council meeting was adjourned with Monday, May 25, set as the next scheduled meeting.
