On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Morrison Lions Club hosted its annual–now community -wide–Recycle Day at the Whiteside County Fairgrounds, 201 W. Winfield Street, Morrison, IL. From 9:00 a.m. to noon, 184 vehicles streamed through the grounds, dropping off 5000+ pounds of scrap metal and electronics!
Morrison Cub and Boy Scouts collected aluminum cans and cardboard. High School Future Farmers of America and Key Club members were active participants, assisting drivers to unload. Top, Jeremiah Callan and Leland Kramer; middle, Sarah and Taylor Osborn; bottom, Jacob Shipley and Jaxon Yaklich.
