Leroy “Mick” Fisher, Jr. 77, of Fulton, IL, passed peacefully Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Mick was born July 17, 1948, in Sterling, IL, the son of Leroy H. “Buzz” and Rosemary (Baker) Fisher, Sr. He was educated in and graduated from high school in California. On June 16, 1989, he married to Carleen Wiersema-Barsema in Clinton, IA, and they shared their lives together for over 36 years. Mick spent many years working as a Machinist, including employment at American Gear in Prophetstown, IL, and Frantz Manufacturing in Sterling. Outside of work, Mick enjoyed hot rod cars. He especially loved spending time in his shop, where he could tinker, build, and bring his hot rod car projects to life.
Survivors include his wife, Carleen; sons, Jody Fisher of OK and Cory (Jamie) Fisher of AZ; stepdaughters, Rana Sue (Steve Jones) Barsema of Morrison, IL, and Christine Lynn (Fred) Reedy of Fulton; one granddaughter, Kaley (James) Spitzer; two grandsons, Cameron Fisher and Jacob Fisher; two great-grandchildren, Izzy and Sophia Spitzer; sister, Lelah Ann (Walt) Cox of Glendora, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Moen.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. J. T. Bean, Pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church, officiating.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
