Kevin “Zepe” James Zuidema, 66, of Clinton, IA, passed away with his daughter by his side, on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Alverno Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton.

Kevin was born on April 29, 1959, to David L. and Judith A. (Rasmussen) Zuidema, in Clinton.  He was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a 1977 graduate of Fulton High School.  Kevin married Carmen Cruz-Van Kampen on June 29, 1986, in Fulton, IL, and together they had two children.  They later divorced.  He was employed by Drives in Fulton, for many years. Kevin was a man who understood the beauty in the great outdoors.  He enjoyed his time spent in nature and was especially fond of deer hunting.  He was also a devoted NASCAR and Green Bay Packer fan.

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Samantha (Andy) Ketelsen of Fulton; son, Jesse Zuidema of Papillion, NE; three grandchildren, Zander Ketelsen, Zavian Nielsen, and Kenzie Ketelsen; sister, Jennifer (James) Hatfield of Franklinton, NC; brothers, Edward Zuidema of Fulton, and Curtis (Jennifer) Locey of Ankeny, IA; stepsisters, Dory Locey of Clinton, Kaye Hoogerwerf of Peoria, IL, and Tracey Ziegenhorn of Peoria; stepbrothers, Monte (Donette) Locey of Clinton, Dan (Kelli) Stanton of South Padre Island, TX, and Steve (Moira) Stanton of Cibolo, TX; stepmother, Joan Zuidema, of Morrison, IL; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased relatives include parents, David and Judith; step-father, Cecil Locey; brother, Michael Lee Zuidema; grandparents.

Per Kevin’s wishes, Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., on Saturday May 2, 2026, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery.

A memorial to Alverno Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton, IA, has been established by the family.
