The July 21, 2025, session of the Morrison School District Board of Directors convened with new Superintendent Dr. Matt DeBeane in attendance. Due to the timing of the year, no school Principals were in attendance.
Action taken included:
* Acceptance of the resignation of Aubrey Bush (JH/HS Nurse)
* Hiring of Lynette Foree (MHS F/S Volleyball Coach)
* Acceptance of Volunteers: Tyson Smith (MHS Football); Greg Pruis (MHS Football); Kane Steger (MHS Football); Jordan Gallentine (Pons.)
Superintendent DeBeane’s report was offered with his excitement to be in the position. He outlined an active agenda for gathering information and a format for utilizing the input, to build a “Priority Matrix” for the needs of the District. DeBeane’s comments were filled with ambition; recognition of the District’s strengths and weaknesses; his anticipated plan to build a stronger District with the aid of the community.
In other business the Board acted upon the following:
* Approved the amended Morrison High School Handbook.
* Approved the R.C. Smith transportation contract for the 25-26 school year.
* Approved the Three Circle Grant for 25-26 school year.
* Approved the following Coaches for the Fall/Winter/Spring 2025-2026 school year:

- Kolton Sage/Josh Holland – Assistant Football (split salary)

The MCUD Board of Directors meets monthly on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m., at the District Office located in the Farm Bureau building, 100 N. Knox Street. The public is welcome to attend.
