Joyce Marie Van Horn, 73, of Morrison, IL, died on Monday, July 7, 2025, at her home.
Joyce was born May 27, 1952, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Howard and Frances (Miller) Hansen. She was employed at General Electric Appliance Control Department for 28 years and retired in 2000. Joyce attended Morrison United Methodist Church in Morrison. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan, loved putting together puzzles, and was a huge advocate for breast cancer research and prevention. She was dedicated to her two sons and was very proud of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Paul (Rebecca) Van Horn, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joseph (Nancy) Van Horn, of Goodyear, AZ; sisters, Mary Lou Madonia, of KY, and Linda (Dave) Bond, of Rockton, IL; brothers, Harold (Isabel) Hansen, and Clifford (Kim) Hansen, all of Sterling, IL; five grandchildren, Kelsie Van Horn, of Salt Lake City, UT, Breanna Van Horn, of Phoenix, AZ, Wyatt Van Horn, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Raimiel, and Reign Van Horn, both of Goodyear.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, MaryAnn McColley, and Ruth Ann Bass.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will conclude at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
