Jeremy R. Decker, 46, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Morrison Community Hospital.

Jeremy was born February 5, 1980, in Morrison, the son of Jean (VanDusen) Decker and Ronald Decker. He was educated in Morrison grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School. Jeremy proudly joined the United States Army and completed most of basic training, before a heart condition was discovered that prevented him from continuing his service. When able, he enjoyed working as a Welder, a trade that suited his hands-on nature. Jeremy married Lynette (Makl), and together they welcomed their son, Jett. Though their marriage later ended, Jeremy remained a devoted and proud father. He had a love for the outdoors and found joy in off-roading in his Jeep, riding his bike, working on cars, and spending time hunting.
Survivors include his children, Jett Decker of Morrison and Sophia Decker of Clinton, IA; mother, Jean Decker of Morrison; sister, Carie (Billy) Ibrahim of Scottsdale, AZ; brother, Ryan Decker of Morrison; two nieces; one nephew; many aunts, uncles, and cousins He is also survived by his stepmother, Toni Decker of Morrison; stepsister, Cristy Dauphin of Eldridge, IA; stepbrothers, Andrew (Melissa) Dauphin of Savanna, IL, and Timothy (Jamie) Dauphin of Morrison.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Decker, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the Visitation.
