Morrison Music Theatre Association (MMTA) will hold auditions for its mid-March production of "The Carol Burnett Project." Tryouts begin today, at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 301 W. South Street, in Morrison, IL.
There are roles for men, women, and older youths. Between two and seven characters will be in one of 50 original skits that were produced in The Carol Burnett Show.
There is no advance preparation needed to audition. Eric Phend stated, "Three shows will take place in mid-March, at Crossroads Community Church, 300 W. South Street." For more details, contact Phend at 815-355-6999.
He added, "The public is invited to attend our MMTA Annual Meeting (also on January 18,) at 1:00--an hour before the auditions start--at Bethesda Lutheran Church. We welcome your input about the organization, election of Officers, projects, and community suggestions. Let us know if you could help with props/costuming, helping actors, or donations."
