St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church LC-MS, 601 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL, had much to celebrate on Sunday, September 28, 2025, beginning at 4:00 p.m. The Divine Service Three for the Installation of Pastor David Strable was conducted by President Allan Buss (second from the right) of the Northern Illinois District. Retired St. Peter Pastor Michael Winkelman is at far right.
Ten additional Ministers took part in the readings and offered individual blessings for Pastor Strable, as he knelt before the altar.
Congregation members and guests followed the ritual readings, songs, and call-and-response passages.
Pastor Strable offered his first sermon, concluding with the Lord’s Prayer. He invited attendees to share in a light supper.
His second sermon will be on Sunday, October 5, at 9:30 a.m.
The Strables have three adult children, living in Wisconsin and Indiana and a one-year-old granddaughter, Scout Gaughan. She and her mother Gennea Gaughan, 29, live in Cudahy, WI. Faelynne Strable, 27, lives in Yoder, IN. Eleanor Lusty, 25, lives in Saukville, WI.
