Iva Mae Dorathy, 95, of Erie, IL, died Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Allure of Sterling in Sterling, IL.
Iva was born on December 14, 1930, in Prophetstown, IL, to Ralph and Minnie (Johnson) Tiffany. She attended Prophetstown Schools. Iva married Ross William Dorathy on September 3, 1950, in Spring Hill, IL. They spent 52 wonderful years together before his passing on January 22, 2003. Iva worked as a cashier for 25 years at Shaheen’s Grocery Store in Erie.
Iva was a member of the Erie United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and staying active. Most of all, Iva enjoyed spending time with her family.
Iva is survived by her daughter, Christena “Christe” (Steve) Misfeldt of Erie; daughter-in-law, Marlene Dorathy of Morrison, IL; siblings, Reta (Loren) Franks of Erie, Carol Jaecques of Moberly, MO, Ron (Connie) Tiffany of Dubuque, IA; grandchildren, Todd (Sarah) Dorathy, Travis (Tanika) Dorathy, Chad (Rhonda) Misfeldt, Scott (Amy) Misfeldt, Brad (Amanda) Misfeldt, Tiffany (Ben) Vittori; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her precious dog Reba.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ross; son, Raynord Dorathy; brothers, Lloyd Tiffany and Robert Tiffany.
Services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., at Gibson-Bode Funeral Home, Erie, IL.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Gibson Bode funeral home in Erie, IL.
Burial will be in the Erie Cemetery, Erie, IL.
