Celebrate the autumnal shift at Heritage Canyon, 515 N. 4th Street, Fulton, IL, with the Early American Crafters and guest reenactors. “Fall Festival” takes place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is by donation, to explore the grounds, buildings, and Petting Zoo.
Plan to take photographs in the canyon and across the street, along the Mississippi River.

Park downtown and ride the free trolley to-and-from the Canyon; the last return pickup is 4:00 p.m. Pick-up and drop-off is in the north lot on Tenth Avenue and Fourth Street.
Fun will be found outdoors. Enjoy the Petting Zoo and shop as you enter the Canyon. Walk across the swinging bridge and covered bridge. Visit interpreters inside the 1860s Frondle House and its Summer Kitchen. Turn the crank to twist a piece of rope; watch the clever wood carvers. Attractive walking sticks will be for sale.
Music will be heard in the Canyon. In Dr. Love’s Office you will hear him and his son. Inside the renovated Church with its new flooring, sit to enjoy folk music by Coral and daughter Kiki.

If you are able, climb rugged log steps to the log cabin, or scale a stone outcropping trail to the top of the Canyon.
Near the school, share the seesaw or play gourd tic-tac-toe with a sibling or friend.

Find Librarian Jennifer Garden in the Canyon Library. It is upstairs at the General Store/Ice Cream Parlor, along with several display rooms.
The General Store has merchandise and food opportunities: the Canyon cookbook; writing tablets; a variety of gifts; t-shirts; old-fashioned candy; water; popcorn; cotton candy, frozen push-ups.
