Gladys I. Rose, age 88, of Fulton, IL, died Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Mercy One in Clinton, IA.

Gladys was born November 9, 1936, in Morrison, IL, the daughter of Julius and Martha (DeVries) Medenblik.  She attended Fulton High School and later married Wayne Rose on January 20, 1956, in Fulton.  He preceded her in death on May 2, 2010.  Gladys retired from PFC in Camanche, IA.  She was member of the Albany United Methodist Church and the After 5 Club.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Sue Perkins of Fulton, Sandra Seward of Clinton, Marlene VanBuskirk of Albany, IL, and Brenda (Dwane) Harris of Fulton; sister, Janice Workman of Morrison; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Mark Rose; sister, Bernice Medenblik; sons-in-law, Richard Perkins, Edward Seward, and Myron VanBuskirk; brother-in-law, Darrell Workman.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton, IL.

The Funeral will be Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Toni Lucas of the Albany United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be at Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.

A memorial has been established to Albany United Methodist Church.
