Hundreds came out to enjoy the 27th Annual Morrison Christmas Walk on Saturday, December 6, 2014. The event included dozens of fun events made possible by the many businesses, churches, local organizations, and individuals in the community, who supported the Christmas Walk with their time, funds, and talents. The Christmas Walk Committee members wish we could thank all of the volunteers and participants by name, but—-Morrison is fortunate—-the list is too long!
The Lighted Parade, sponsored by Community State Bank, was one highlight of the evening’s events. The Committee is pleased to announce the following parade entry winners:
- Best Use of Theme, Open Bible Fellowship
- Best Entry by a Business, Windsor Manor Assisted Living & Memory Care
- Best Entry by a Community Group, St. Peter Lutheran Church Sunday School
- Best Decorated Vehicle, Morrison Schools Foundation
- Most Spirited Entry, Henry C. Adams Memorial Library/Delicious Delights (shown below.)
A panel of judges picked the winning entries. Each will receive a $100 prize.
The Christmas Tree Walk, held at Wells Fargo, featured more than 40 creatively decorated tabletop trees that were auctioned. More than $1100 was raised and will be used to purchase new Christmas decorations for Morrison to replace worn out ones. Thanks to those who placed bids.
