Whiteside County Health Department issued this snow and temperature advisory.

Please see the following update from National Weather Service Quad Cities and some links shared in a recent IEMA-OHS press release.

• Dangerous cold is in place and will remain through Saturday morning, January 31, 2026.  Wind chills of 35 to 40 below zero can be expected north of I-80, especially before 10:00 a.m.
• An Extreme Cold Warning remains in effect area-wide through Friday morning, January 30, before 10:00 with a Cold Weather Advisory area-wide for Friday-afternoon-through-Saturday-morning.
• Accumulating snow is possible Saturday, January 31-into Sunday, February 1, with areas south of I-80 favored.
