Douglas H. McCulloh, 83, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Resthave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison, IL.

Doug was born May 4, 1941, in Sterling, IL, to Forrest Scott and Lillian (Smith) McCulloh.  He was educated in the Morrison Grade Schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School.  He continued his studies at Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, IL.  On October 18, 1963, Doug married Ellen Behrens in Morrison.  Doug dedicated 31 years to Northwestern Steel and Wire in Sterling, retiring in 1992.  Following his retirement, he worked at Products Unlimited in Sterling and as an Inspector for the Whiteside County Health Department.  In addition to his professional career, Doug spent much of his spare time farming in the Morrison area.  He was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church and Morrison Historical Society.  He enjoyed golfing and volunteered at the John Deere Classic for 12 years.  Above all, Doug treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Survivors include his wife, Ellen; daughter, Kathy (Bob) Huizenga of Morrison; son, Craig (Gina) McCulloh of Morrison; four grandchildren, Lindsay (Dean) Deaver, Brad (Ashley) Huizenga, Amber (Denny) Francque, and Morgan McCulloh; four great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family Memorial Service will be held with Rev. Sun-ah Kang, Pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church, officiating.

A memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial has been established.
