David B. Otto, 55, of Morrison, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

David was born June 29, 1970, in Iowa City, IA, to John and Judith (Callen) Otto. He was raised and educated in Clinton, IA, grade schools, and graduated from Clinton High School in 1988. On November 5, 1989, David married Tracey A. Littlejohn in Fulton, IL. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army. Following his military service, Dave graduated from the Honolulu Police Academy and served on the Hawaii Police Department. He continued his career in Law Enforcement with various departments, including the Department of the Army and Air Force, wherever his family was stationed during his wife’s service. While stationed in Germany, he also worked for housing services for the Department of the Army, assisting service members during their assignments. He finished his career in Fort Leavenworth, KS. Dave was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a chance to cheer on the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Bulls. He especially enjoyed coaching youth sports and mentoring young athletes. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and friends, creating lasting memories with those he loved most.
Survivors include his wife, Tracey; daughters, Sydney Otto of Albany, IL, and Sophia Otto of Morrison; sons, Nathaniele Otto of San Antonio, TX, and Aaron (Adrianna McEvoy) Otto of Lyndon, IL; four grandchildren, Kaden Sandridge, Emersyn Ferron, Legend McEvoy, and Kingston Otto; mother, Judith A. Stillings of Clinton, IA; sisters, Christine Jacobs of Clinton, Christina (Jeff) Wilkins of Morrison, and Stacy Samuels of Davenport, IA; brother, Shaun Guidebeck of Clinton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tommy and Gaye Littlejohn of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his fathers, John Otto and Mark Guidebeck.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
A Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home, with Ken Renkes officiating.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
A memorial has been established.
