ViolinistsClinton Symphony Orchestra’s gala social evening and fundraiser, “A Symphonic Affair,” is set to return after a year’s hiatus.  The event will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., on Friday, June 1, 2018, at Rastrelli’s Tuscany Center.

Reservations are $45 per person or $320 for a table of eight people.

Advance reservations are required.  They may be made by calling 563-357-9656, by email to execdirector@clintonsymphony.org, or by postal mail to Clinton Symphony Orchestra, P. O. Box 116, Clinton, IA 52732.

Long a favorite fundraiser for the Symphony, the event was not held last year due to retirements and relocation of several of the key organizers, according to the Symphony’s Executive Director, Robert Whipple.  A new organizing team has been recruited, he said, and they are keeping the festive atmosphere of previous seasons and adding new ideas.

Among the favorites of the evening are a lavish buffet of hors d’oeuvres, delightful entertainment, live and silent auction items donated by Symphony supporters, unveiling of the new Symphony season (the 65 season), and a friendly social gathering.

The event is the Symphony’s largest annual fundraiser.  It provides funds for guest artists, administrative costs of the Symphony, and support for the free outdoor Pops Concert, scheduled two days later on Sunday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m., in the band shell at Riverview Park, Clinton.
