A shorter Agenda for the Monday, July 25, 2022, meeting of the Morrison City Council was headed by the presentation of the resignation of City Administrator, Barry Dykhuizen. He has accepted the position of Assistant City Administrator of Moline, IL, but was unable to be present due to a positive COVID-19 report. Mayor Scott Vandermyde voiced his appreciation of Dykhuizen’s contributions to Morrison and accepted the resignation “with great regret.”

Public Services Director Lori Matlack presented the labor and material quote for the approved building to be raised at the Morrison Sports Complex ($45,496.)

The Consent Agenda was unanimously approved. It included a change order and a final payment for Main Street renovation costs to Gensini Excavating ($319,617.95) and an approval for Willett-Hoffman to prepare an Intersection Design Study (at Genesee and Lincolnway.) Considerable discussion and clarification of intentions preceded the approval vote.

The Council will meet at the City of Morrison Community Room on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
