VBoxGamesAre you a gamer?  Do you enjoy playing tabletop or video games?  If so, this event is for you!  Join us for all things gaming on Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Clinton Community College, for the CCC Gaming Club Extravaganza II.  No experience is required.  Come by the CCC Auditorium at 1000 Lincoln Bloulevard, Clinton, IA, to learn all about the hobby.

There will be food and fun for the whole family.  Gamers 14 and under are required to bring a parent or adult.  Entry to the event is free with a suggested donation of cash or non-perishable items for the CCC Cupboard, a place where CCC students can get food, toiletries, and diapers.  You receive an extra entry to the raffles if you donate, so please bring some items to help out the Cupboard.

CCC Gaming Club Extravaganza Events include

  • open board gaming throughout the day
  • open video gaming on the Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U systems
  • experience virtual reality with the HTC Vive
  • Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Edition one-shot adventure
  • pizza, soda, and snacks for purchase
  • several raffles for board games, gift cards, CCC apparel, and more.

Learn to play popular board games such has Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and King of Toyko.  Once you’ve mastered them, enter a raffle to win one of the games.

Play on CCC’s gaming consoles or feel free to bring your own.  CCC’s games include Just Dance, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Kart.

HTC Vive games include Audioshield, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Space Pirate Trainer, and Superhot.

Sign up for D&D by 1:00 p.m.  Character building starts at 1:00 with the adventure running from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Enter a brand new world and explore how to craft a character of your very own.  Are you interested in D&D but never have tried it?  Sign up by 1:00 p.m. to learn to play D&D fifth Edition session.  No experience is necessary; first time players are welcome.  The event starts at 2:00 p.m. and runs until 5:00.

All snack sale proceeds benefit the CCC Gaming Club.

The CCC Cupboard is a students-helping-students program, designed to combat food insecurity, poverty, and difficulty making ends meet.  Started in 2018, the Cupboard provides the CCC students with food, diapers, hygiene products, and other essentials on an as-needed basis.  Your donations will directly benefit students attending the college.
