Catrina “Cat” Marie Schaver, 54, of Thomson, IL, died Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Clinton, IA.
Cat was born May 22, 1970, the daughter of Robert and Connie (Main) Smith. She married Michael Schaver in Morrison, IL. She loved to go antiquing and the thrill of finding hidden treasures. More than anything, Cat found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and especially treasured moments with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Marissa Rhodes of Rock Falls, IL, and Hannah (Allan) Meinsma of Thomson, IL; son, Chris (Erica) Benson of Morrison, IL; four grandchildren, Serentity and Hunter Meinsma, Benjamyn and Sophya Benson; mother, Connie Heusinkveld of Argo Fay, IL; father, Bob Smith of The Philippines; sister; brother.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; two grandchildren, Thomas Rhodes and Angel Rodriguez.
There will be no Visitation or Services.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
