On Saturday afternoon, September 7, 2019, join the Morrison Historical Society Board of Trustees, MHS members, your friends, and new acquaintances in air-conditioned comfort, at Morrison’s Heritage Museum, 202 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL. The annual Ice Cream Social will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Other refreshments include barbecue pork sandwiches, chips, desserts, and beverages–all by donation only.
Daryl Drennen and Steve Swanson will discuss and demonstrate the blacksmithing trade.

Kenny Venhuizen, Morrison, returns to treat visitors to his oh-so-rich vanilla and strawberry ice cream. Half the fun is watching–or rather, hearing–the delicious creation being “churned” by his portable hit-‘n’-miss engine. Venhuizen built it and has delighted area ice cream fans ever since. He is shown below in 2018 with wife Nancy.
