Morrison Music Teacher Erin Morris will start a Theater Boosters program, to support the Theater Department.
“We have wonderful Music Boosters run by parents, who do an awesome job supporting our music students. We could use some of that kind of support for our Theater Program. The current program is geared more toward High Schoolers, but I’m looking into ways to include our Junior High students, so they enjoy the same experiences.”
What would this require?
• Officers to form the Board (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer)
• Adults/Parents to meet once a month, or as needed
• Fundraising decision makers (We receive no direct funding from the school.)
• Advertising our program and the students in it
• Help with construction of sets/backstage help.
“Students are encouraged to attend meetings and have a voice. They cannot be on the Board.
“If you could help with this, please let me know as soon as possible. I plan to gather many names, set up an email list, and find when we could start. There is a lot that goes into making these things official, but first I need people–also known as YOU!
