Barbara A. Heumann, age 85, of Morrison, IL, died Monday, April 28, 2025, at Homestead of Morrison Assisted Living & Memory Care in Morrison.
Barbara was born November 13, 1939, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of James Joseph and Barbara (Martinek) McGuire. She married Eugene Heumann on May 23, 1964. Barbara was employed as a Kndergarten Teacher at St. Walter’s in Roselle, IL, for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Morrison.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Eugene Heumann of Morrison; sons, James (Shelby) Heumann of Schaumburg, IL, and Matt Heumann of Wood Dale, IL; brother, James (Arlene) McGuire of Canyon Country, CA; two grandchildren, Kayle and Zachary; nieces, Shannon and Barbara.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Avenue, in Sterling, IL.
Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary Catholic Church in Morrison, IL, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Slawomir Zimodro officiating.
Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
A memorial has been established.
