Johanna “Jo” Medema, 98, of Camanche, IA, formerly of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, February 14, 2021, at MercyOne in Clinton, IA. Jo was born May 24, 1922, in Morrison, IL, to Sam and Ella (Voss) Vanderlaan.  She attended Morrison schools.  Jo married Edward Medema on December 3, 1943, in Morrison.

On Friday, February 12, 2021, Whiteside County Health Department announced 15 new laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19:  4 (under 20); 2 (20s); 2 (30s); 1 (40s); 5 (50s); 1 (70s.)  We also had eight recoveries in Whiteside County.
