May 1 COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

Whiteside County Health Department will hold a vaccine clinic, on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the McCormick Event Center in Rock Falls, IL, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The vaccine to be provided at the clinic is Pfizer, so appointments will be open to anyone 16+.

Northside Elementary School Pollinator Palooza

Sheriff’s Office April 29 Arson Report

On Friday, April 23, 2021, at approximately 12:14 a.m., Whiteside County Deputies were called to Deer Run Road in rural Sterling, IL, for a report of a vehicle on fire.  On fire was a 1995 Chevrolet pickup.

Patrons May Visit Odell without Appointments

Beginning Monday, May 3, 2021, patrons are again welcome to stop by Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL, any time during open hours. The library has required patrons to make appointments to browse and use computers since July 2020. Odell staff is eager to take this step

Federal REAL ID Deadline Extended to 2023

Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White commended the U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), for extending the Federal REAL ID deadline to May 3, 2023.  DHS cited that it extended the deadline due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.  The virus is having an impact on both the general public
