Dear Editor:

I sincerely hope that all of us in Morrison[, IL,] thank the Morrison Garden Club for all the beautiful work they do throughout the year:

Main Street flower baskets and barrels filled with items of the season
Grove Hill Cemetery’s fountain surrounded by flowers
Odell Public Library spring clean-up job and installing of new plants and bushes
the pocket park beside Morrison’s Heritage Museum
seasonal plants and flowers under the Morrison signs on Routes 78 and 30
the corner of Lincolnway and Cherry Street–newly transformed for Christmas specifically.

Never underestimate the amount of backbreaking work this all takes, in the cold of winter or the heat of summer. This group meets monthly to create a plan for the year, determine the costs involved, and, if needed, set up a fundraiser to help with the cost.

Please thank this group for their creativity, talent, and hard work. Morrison truly looks beautiful because of their efforts.

Sincerely,
Anne Frame
