During the recent Morrison, IL, Memorial Day program at Veterans Park, on Monday, May 29, 2023, American Legion Post 328 Commander Larry Zuidema had read a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of Mark Schuler, who was not in attendance.
Throughout the years, Schuler has served as driver for local dignitaries in countless parades: Memorial Day, Homecoming, and Christmas.
On Wednesday, July 12, a quartet of Legionnaires visited Mark and Susan Schuler at their home, to make the presentation and offer their admiration and thanks. Standing left-to-right behind Schuler are Terry Jones, James Prombo, Post Adjutant Ken Petersen, and Post Commander Larry Zuidema.
