On Friday, April 9, 2021, at 9:14 a.m., Whiteside County Deputies along with Fulton Police Department responded to a single-vehicle fatality traffic crash, on U. S. Route 136 just west of Sand Road. Driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by Whiteside County Coroner Joseph McDonald.
