Vicki Lynn Oviatt, age 61 of Sterling, IL, died Friday, July 24, 2015, at her home.
Vicki was born on April 3, 1954, in Mt. Carroll, IL, the daughter of Ray and Imogene (Handel) Oviatt. She married Gustavo Lorenzo Rodriguez. He preceded her in death on September 28, 1974.
Survivors include, her significant other, Jeff Knutson of Sterling; two daughters, Vanessa “Bussy” (James Dean) West of Pittsburg, TX, and Maria Rodriguez of Las Vegas, NV; two sons, Danny (Jenny) Rodriguez of Maiden Rock, WI, and James “BJ” (Erin) Millis of Rockford, IL; two sisters, Florene (Jerry) Shaw of Sterling and Debbie (Paul) Hardey of Morrison, IL; four brothers, Richard (Michelle) Oviatt of Mt. Carroll, James (Beverly) Oviatt of Grand Rapids, MN, Larry Oviatt of Sterling, and Greg (Bunny) Oviatt of Mt. Carroll; 11 grandchildren, Nick, Jordan, Gabe, Danyan, Reina, Marcus, Adrian, Erika, Payton, Bryce, and Justin; 13 great-grandchildren, Aidan, Aleecia, Isaias, Saree, Kadence, Kendalyn, Gabriella, Rylan, Helena, Fabian, Antonio, Carmello, Isaac, and one expectant great-granddaughter, Josie Jo; her step-mother, Norma Oviatt of Omaha, NE; step-brothers, John Tate of Tennessee, David (Christy) Tate of Rock Falls, IL, and Robert (Kristy) Tate of Grand Detour, IL; step-sisters Donna Tate, not of the area, and Eva (Mark) Cennel of Omaha, NE: many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one nephew, Michael Shaw; a great-grandson, Angel Villa; a step-sister, Laura Beggerow.
Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, IL, with Pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating.
Cremation will follow services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her memory.
