Summer night football is back. The third Alumni Football USA game begins at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday July 25, 2015. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. The action–between adult Morrison, IL, Mustangs and Dixon, IL, Dukes–takes place at E. M. “Bud” Cole football field, 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison. Teams are eager to hit the gridiron and look forward to packing the bleachers with their respective fans. Morrison Alumni consists of 32 football players this year.
The premier MHS Alumni Football Team of 2013 is shown below. On Friday, July 24, Rock Falls and Sterling High School Alumni teams will compete against each other. Fulton High School alums will face Erie-Prophetstown in the future.
In addition, half of each pregame ticket purchased from a Morrison player will be donated. However, if you buy a ticket inside the gate, MHS receives none of the revenue. Contact an Alumni Team member; purchase pre-game tickets at Farmers National Bank, 1100 E. Lincolnway Road, or Fitzgerald Pharmacy, 124 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL; look for the local ticket sellers before you enter the stadium.
This year, proceeds will be donated to
- Morrison High School Football program
- Morrison Junior Tackle Football program
- Jason and Domini Biekema’s four-year-old daughter, Lilah.
Enjoy supper provided by the Morrison Athletic Boosters at the concession stand: pork chop and hot dog sandwiches; snacks; popcorn; beverages.
After the game, adult events are in play at the Whiteside County Fairgrounds for fans to continue their support of Morrison Football.
