Dallas D. Spencer, 65, of Lyndon, IL, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
Dallas was born October 22, 1960, in Vermont, the daughter of Brenton Alden Niles and Darlene M. (Maronde) Scott. She was educated in the Prophetstown grade schools and graduated from Prophetstown High School. She attended Marycrest College in Davenport, IA, and later earned her Bachelor’s degree through the University of Phoenix. Dallas was first married to Randy Andersen. Together they had six children and opened their home to several others over the years. On July 4, 2013, she married Brandy J. Spencer in Lyndon, IL; he died September 13, 2013. Dallas was a caregiver by nature and spent much of her career working in social services. Most recently, she was employed by the DD Homes Network. She served on the NICIL board for many years and helped organize numerous memorial rides for friends and family.
In her free time, Dallas enjoyed birdwatching and observing storms as they rolled in. She had a green thumb and loved tending to her gardens.
Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.
Survivors include daughter, Kiara (Dylan) Rhodes of Lyndon; sons, Stephen Andersen of Lyndon, IL, Jared (Lindsey) Andersen of Morrison, IL, Joshua Andersen of Lyndon, IL, and Dru Andersen of Lyndon, IL; her daughter-in-law, Missy Shreck; nine grandchildren, Jayna (Matt) Tracy, Jazmine and Emma Andersen, Hadley and Ainzley Andersen, and Milaya, Kendra, Truman, and Elliott Rhodes; one great-grandchild, Nora Tracy; brother, William “Butch” Scott of Rock Falls, IL; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Darlene (Clarence) Deets; husband, Brandy J. Spencer; daughter, Kristin Michelle Randolph; brother, Dan Scott; former husband, Randy Andersen.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A will be held from 10:00 a.m., until Noon on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Prophetstown Chapel of the Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home.
A Committal Service will follow at 12:30 p.m., at Lyndon Township Cemetery in Lyndon, IL.
A memorial has been established.
