Janis Leanne Stoudt Crossland, 69, of Sterling, IL, died on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
Janis was born February 15, 1956, in Sterling, the daughter of LeRoy and Bertha (Ohda) Stoudt.
Survivors include her daughters, Jenna (Eric) Bean, of Dixon, IL, and Kayla (Scott) Phillips, of Loves Park, IL; siblings, Pat Apgar, of Morrison, IL, Rick (Susan) Stoudt, of Rock Falls, IL, and Teresa Sodergren, of Dixon; six grandchildren, Justin Charleston, Cameron Charleston, Hailie Craft, Valona Hendricks, Jacob Hendricks, and Annabelle Hendricks; two great-grandchildren, Kiandre and Averyl.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Martin Stoudt, Gary Stoudt, and Randy Stoudt; sister, Nancy Gibson.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
