Join Illinois Extension for a one-of-a-kind workshop, on Saturday, August 23, 2025. This event will spark participants’ imagination, sharpen communication skills, and help them connect more deeply–with nature and with others.
Early and Elementary Education Teachers, Master Naturalists, Master Gardeners, other youth educators and Leaders, and others with an interest in the wonders of nature will benefit from the program.
During “The Art of Interpretation and Teaching” workshop, award-winning Storyteller, Creativity Trainer, Artist, and Listening Coach Marilyn Price will lead a fun, immersive day of discovery. Attendees will explore how to
• listen with purpose
• communicate more effectively using questions
• speak with clarity
• engage different learning styles.
The workshop location, Illinois Extension office, 12923 Lawrence Road, Sterling IL, is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; it includes lunch. The cost is $30 per person.
