The following announcement from National Weather Service of the Quad Cities warns of potential flooding this weekend:  “Multiple rounds of storms are expected through Monday, August 11, 2025, with heavy rain [being] the primary threat.”

Numerous flash flooding is possible, with rainfall rates between 1-to-3 inches per hour.  Widespread rainfall totals between 2-to-4 inches is forecast.

Renewed rises on area rivers and creeks will be a concern going into next week.
